The Good Shepherd Memorial Window
This horizontal, framed detail of an American Opalescent masterpiece focuses closely on the central figures and lower memorial register of The Good Shepherd. Christ stands at the center, holding a shepherd's staff while cradling a detailed lamb against a rich backdrop of stylized woodland trees and hills. He is flanked on either side by attentive sheep that show the mottled, textured quality of the layered glasswork. The lower portion features a highly decorative architectural base containing a prominent ribbon scroll that explicitly titles the piece "THE GOOD SHEPHERD." Directly underneath, an integrated mosaic inscription dedicates the window to "Rev. James Edward Burke," flanked by two kneeling companion angels with outspread wings, creating a permanent visual monument to both faith and memory.
