Commentaries of Cornelius Jansenius

Printed: 1579

Dimensions: 14" x 9" x 1.5"

The Commentaries of Cornelius Jansenius, Bishop of Ghent, in his agreement, and the whole Gospel history in four parts. All now revised and much more happily than before with innumerable errors corrected, which had remained in the previous edition, the work of the author himself. Each part begins with its own frontispiece.

Cornelis was a Dutch Catholic bishop and theologian. This is considered one of his rarest and most important works. The Commentaries resulted in him being deemed heretical by the Roman Catholic Church after his death.
