1508 Saint Zeno of Verona Sermons


Zeno of Verona (300 – 371) was an Afro-Italian of Mauretanian origin. He is a Christian figure believed to have served as Bishop of Verona and died as a Christian Martyr. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church.


Zeno is the patron saint of fishermen and anglers, the city of Verona, newborn babies and children learning to speak and walk. Over 30 churches or chapels have been dedicated to him, including Pistoia Cathedral.


This rare work contains very clear Sermons and Homilies and Admonitions of the blessed Cesarius, Bishop of Arelate.


A discourse on the praises of the Blessed Virgin Mary, compiled from the authentic sayings of the holy teachers.


Origen's homily on the Gospels, with an emphasis on the phrease, "Mary stood outside the tomb weeping."
